17Apr2011 Summer Vessels! 10’0″ Noserider!

This 10’0″ Noserider has got a blue resin tint on the bottom, an abstract paint job in the nose concave and a couple pinlines making this definite showroom quality!  This one will certainly turn heads!

Summer is almost here which means warm weather, warm water, south swells and relatively small waves…but that’s ok!  The Noserider is a cruiser!  It’s perfect for those days you wanna get to the nose and the waves are under shoulder high.  A pretty good sized nose concave and a soft 50/50 ’60s type rail makes this Noserider a true log.  If you’re looking to ride what they rode back in the day, the Noserider is your board!  This is my personal favorite in our line up! -Jake

17Apr2011 Summer Vessels! 9’6″ Banana!

This is a 9’6″ Banana that has a 1″ Cedar stringer, a blue resin tint top & bottom, two black pinlines and a black band to give it a classic feel!  There’s a “50th Anniversary laminate on the bottom which we only put on the boards for 2009!  I can’t believe this one is still sitting on the rack!

The Banana is our all-around good time model.  You can’t go wrong with this one.  It’s our highest performing cruiser model in the line up.  Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet, the Banana will surely generate smiles for miles!

(web description)The original Banana model was designed in 1963 – it was yellow and just happened to look like a giant banana in the surf. It was unique in that it had significantly more rocker than the typical surfboard built during this era and may have been the first board designed with real rocker. Since then it has gone through many modifications and decades later the Banana model remains as the anchor of our surfboard line. It is the universal surfboard with few limitations. This model remains the best choice for the surfer needing some floatation and paddling ease without sacrifice in maneuverability. The Banana Model is a must have!

For 2009 we increased the nose width 1/8”, giving more stability. We digitally corrected the rocker. The corners of the tail block have been slightly rounded making it more forgiving, and because the softening is less than the typical squash, the drive has not been sacrificed. The Banana is now the closest to High Performance we have in our Cruiser line.

14Apr2011 More Foam=More Fun!

Summer is just around the corner in case you haven’t noticed and the days of more foam=more fun are back! The sun is out, the skies are clear, the water is warm which all makes for a good time IF you have the right board.

If you typically ride a shortboard, try taking a fish for a spin…you’ll be amazed at what they can do! If you’ve been riding a high performance longboard with a 2+1 fin set up…try grabbin’ an old log and get your trim on…you’ll be pleasantly surprised what you can get out of riding the ancient equipment that they rode back in the ’60s.

Whatever it is you’ll be doing this summer, make sure those flotation devices are “properly inflated”. Feel free to give us a call or email us anytime and our knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to answer any of your board-design questions!
